I am a visual artist, a filmmaker and a doctor in Film Studies.
My work stands at the nexus of artistic research and refugee studies. It aims to explore new visual ways to narrate contemporary migrations.
I have been working as a postdoctoral research assistant at Oxford Department of Politics and International Relations. Recently, I have been tutoring and lecturing European Cinema at Oxford Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages. I have also been involved into a training for professional artists at Sweden’s Royal Art Academy.
My research has been widely published in peer-reviewed publications such as Interventions. International Journal of Postcolonial Studies, Convergence: The International Journal of Research into New Media Technologies and Bloomsbury London. My artworks have been presented at Wolfson College Oxford, Nuit Blanche Paris and Stockholm Sergel’s Square.
As a Visiting Researcher at Maison Française of Oxford, I have been conducting the webinar New Imaginaries of Migration together with anthropologist and filmmaker Corinne Fortier.
